Keeping active, staying social as you age

Social connection for older people; respite for caregivers

Enliven Tōtara Club provides day activity programmes for older people who find themselves becoming socially isolated. Tōtara Club provides opportunities for our members to maintain interests and skills, meet others, and share activities and experiences in the community. Our aim at Tōtara Club is to encourage an attitude of joy and interest. We put special emphasis on enhancing dignity and wellbeing.

Who benefits from Tōtara Club?

  • Older people (65+) who are living in their own home and who are becoming, or are at risk of becoming, socially isolated. Our professionally trained staff can support a range of age-related needs.
  • Carers – all Enliven day activity programmes (Harakeke Club, Tōtara Club, HomeShare) are designed to support carers, who may benefit from some time out.
