In early December a team of ten employees from the Ministry for Social Development (MSD) offered us a day of their time before Christmas.
What an outstanding gesture of generosity! On December 20th, one group arrived at Harakeke Club in Riccarton, Christchurch, armed with gloves, trowels, rakes and other tools to give the gardens a much-needed spruce up. Another group arrived at the home of an older client to clean her outside windows for the first time in many years.
“The rain held off and we just all got stuck in and were happy with what we got done,”said team leader Megan Ellis. “We all enjoyed doing the work and hope to do it again at the end of 2019!”
