Keeping active, staying social as you age

Enliven Totara Clubs provide day activity programmes for older people who find themselves becoming socially isolated and may be experiencing the early stages of dementia. The Clubs provide opportunities for members to maintain interests and skills, meet others and share activities and experiences in the community. Our aim at Totara Club is to encourage an attitude of joy, interest and dignity in ageing.

Activities may include:

  • Topical discussions and guest speakers
  • Positive reminiscence
  • Indoor games
  • Exercise and relaxation
  • Walking groups
  • Outings

Who is this for?

Older people (65+) who are living in their own home and who have become socially isolated. Our professionally trained staff can support a range of age-related needs.

Carers – all Enliven day activity programmes (Harakeke Club, Totara Club, Home Share) are designed to support carers, who may benefit from some time out.
